Why We Don’t Do Black Friday At Fig...

As Black Friday gets closer, the pressure to shop more and more starts creeping in. Everywhere you look, there are blinking signs shouting “Huge Savings” and “Don’t Miss Out.” It can feel like gifting has turned into a sprint. A race to buy as much as possible, as fast as possible. At Fig, we just do not connect with that feeling. We love thoughtful gifting. Slow gifting. The kind where you pick something because you know the story behind it and you know the person will treasure it. That kind of gifting is never rushed.

Our products take time.
Handmade always does.

The candles are poured one by one in a tiny London kitchen.
The shower mitts are knitted by my mum while she sips tea and watches Turkish dramas.
The brushes are crafted in small batches with materials that do not hurt the planet.

None of this can be discounted without taking away from the people behind it. It would mean less money in the pockets of women who are already pouring their hearts, time, and talent into what they make. That is not us.

We want to support dreams, not deadlines. So this year, instead of slashing prices for one frantic weekend, we are keeping things exactly as they are. We are choosing sustainability over urgency. Fair pay over fast consumption. Craft over chaos.

If you choose to shop with us this Christmas, thank you. You are supporting women, small business, and objects made with care. It means the world.

No pressure. No rush.
Just heartfelt gifting that brings joy on both sides.
